Ratnanagar (Chitwan), Jan. 28: The Nepathya band today handed over the money it collected through a concert organised in the course of its month-long ‘musical journey’ held in Chitwan district in the month of Mangsir to a local school.
The band handed over 185 thousand rupees to the Panchakanya Higher Secondary School at Ratnanagar in east Chitwan. The amount was made available through the Rotract Club of Ratnanagar, the organizers of the concert.
The amount would be used for upgrading the science department of the school, Rotract Club of Ratnanagr chairperson Sangita Acharya said.
Nepathya had held a concert on January 5 in Chitwan. A total of 410 thousand rupees was collected as proceeds from the concert. The amount remaining after deducting the technical and other expenses from this amount was handed over to the school.
The band has held such concerts in ten districts. RSS
